Metalcraft Practical Rolling / Bending / Riveting Tool
These versatile 3 in 1 hand operated metal working tools (available in the Hobby, Practical, or Master range) are the cornerstone of the Metalcraft Tool ranges.
The Practical RBR Tool allows you to bend and roll your metalwork into shape, then you have the option to rivet your metalwork together without heat or welding required (see below).
EASY TO USE - no pre-heating of metal required to roll, bend, or rivet.
Rolling is achieved by using the winding handle to drive the bar forwards and backwards through the rollers. As this is done with each pass, the long lever is used to gradually increase pressure to roll an ever tighter curve. Updated in 2017 to now make it even easier to produce more consistent bends and circles/arcs when rolling.
Bending For the bending operation, metal is placed between the diamond shaped former and the two rollers. Operate the lever to gradually bend to required angle. (Master RBR tool shown in the two photos above)
Riveting is simply achieved by placing the material to be joined (with rivet in pre-punched hole) between the riveting posts on the machine. Use the lever to squeeze the rivet to form a strong joint.
Metalcraft's riveting system provides a safe, strong and authentic way of joining metalwork together for beginner and professional alike. Naturally, those with welding equipment may prefer to use this as a quick and convenient way to join formed metalwork together particularly in commercial use. It is no surprise that those able to weld easily spot the business diversification opportunities that Metalcraft tools offer. (Practical RBR tool shown in the two riveting photos above)
Maximum working Capacity Rolling: 3/4" wide x 1/8" thickness (flat metal strip) 3/16" (solid round rod) 5/32" (solid square bar)
Bending: 3/4" wide x 1/8" thickness (flat metal strip) 3/16" (solid round rod) 5/32" (solid square bar)
Riveting: 1/8" diameter rivet
Angle of bend achievable 180 degrees to 90 degrees. Minimum space between 90 degree bends is 9/16" when using 1/8" solid round rod.
Machine dimensions 6 1/2"w x 6"d x 2 3/8"h x 11 7/8" (handle length). Boxed Weight: 8 lbs.
Other features End Stop Screw & Nut fitted for producing consistent bends and circles/arcs when rolling.
All tools are supplied with operating instructions. Please note that the maximum working capacity stated is for Hot Rolled Material or Annealed metal. Working beyond these limits or with material of greater hardness may reduce the operational life of the tool.
